Restoran Yit Foh ( Wanton Noodles / Jalan Harimau / Near KSL City)

Today I want to recommend a Wanton mee eatery that was established in Johor Bahru for more than 30 years. In fact, the eatery has recently started its own production of wanton mee and opened its second outlet in Jalan Sutera, a perfect example of the entrepreneur spirit of Johor people. The eatery is none other than Restoran Yit Foh, located a few shops from the Pontian wanton mee and giving them a good run for their money.

According to them, the quality of their noodles (wanton mee) are maintained for the last forty year. The whole egg noodles produced are based on the traditional recipes developed by their founder Mr. Lee, so it is more elastic and tasty than others. Their wan tan noodles are served with the wanton soup and home-made cha siew which are freshly made everyday. To expand their business, they have set up a factory at Permas Jaya to produce more noodles which can be bought at RM0.70 each.

Personally, I find that the most delicious part of their wanton mee is actually their soup wanton itself. Although they are pretty small in size, they are pretty soft and tasty. Their preserved green chilli are well preserved in vinegar and tasted slightly sourish and crunchy, just perfect for combining with their smooth homemade mee and wantons. A good choice for wanton mee in Johor Bahru, best part, it is opened 24 hours. Check out their specialities at this link

  1. hey you're spot on about the noodles. The texture is so much superior than the others I've eaten... the chilli noodles is so shoik compared to the other noodle shop down the lane ..... I know ... its subjective.

Anyway, this is a must have when I'm visiting JB.

    Cheers
